Savage Support Wear Your Support

October has come and gone, we had yet another successful annual fundraising event for Savage Support Corp. Because of your generosity and support, we’ve impacted the lives of local women as they cope with breast cancer treatment — and we thank you!

The theme for this year was “Wear Your Support” and our attendees certainly did that! They showed up loud and proud with pink wigs and various items of clothing showing support. Those who didn’t, quickly dove into our basket of goodies and donned fuzzy hats, comically large glasses and pink boas. 

All afternoon we encouraged everyone to participate in a variety of activities including a wine pull, silent auction, #TEAMMAMAWISTH wristbands, glam station shenanigans, live music, dancing and the warm sunshine on the patio. We had such a large variety of silent auction items donated this year, including tickets to see The Rep’s Christmas Carol, rare and large format wines along with awesome gift certificates! Our bidders went home with a lot of great packages and a happy feeling in their hearts knowing that their bids help Savage Support Corp’s beneficiaries in the year ahead.For the third consecutive year, this Bay View staple donated $1 per pizza during the month of October. A record number of $1,229 was raised for our beneficiaries. Thank you Frank Tenuta, Brenden Fuerstenau & the entire Tenuta’s family for your unwavering support.

This year we raised a little more than $5,400 from our Wear Your Support fundraiser.  We are thankful for every dollar given in support and all of the items that were donated by local businesses and companies. While we did not raise as much monetarily this year as in 2015, the dollars will offset costs & impact the lives of those going through breast cancer in a practical and meaningful way. 

We are so grateful to everyone who attended our event, those who helped raise awareness of the struggles during treatment and the mission of Savage Support Corp. Thank you so much for being a part of the support!
